Telangana Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has criticized the central government for the way it has treated the wrestlers who were protesting. It is known that the Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, and Bajrang Punia were detained by the Delhi Police along with their supporters near the new Parliament building demanding the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for alleged sexual harassment of Women wrestlers along with a minor.
The wrestlers tried to breach the security check and marched toward the new Parliament building. The Delhi Police had to involve in a major scuffle. Wrestler Sakshi Malik posted a video clip on social media where the Police are trying to detain the wrestler.
Reacting to it KTR tweeted, “Can any responsible leader from Govt of India tell us why it has to be this way? These are champions who brought us glory on the world stage! They deserve our support and respect.”
