Tirupati: Actor Manchu Manoj stirred controversy at MB University after attempts by his father Mohan Babu and brother Vishnu to block his entry failed. Despite securing court orders as a precaution, university authorities were compelled to allow Manoj inside.
Manoj stated he came solely to pay respects to his late grandparents and had no intention of creating trouble. Insisting on his right to enter, Manoj refused to leave until he completed his tribute, prompting police to intervene and escort him away.
The visit turned chaotic as Manoj’s supporters clashed with university bouncers, leading to a minor lathi charge. Manoj criticized the university’s administration, asserting that it belongs to everyone and its development was a collective effort.
During his Tirupati visit, Manoj received a warm welcome from students and local supporters, who organized rallies and displayed large flex banners in his honor. However, the banners were removed under instructions from university officials, which further fueled Manoj’s ire.
Manoj maintained he came to address student concerns and challenged his family to engage in open dialogue. His bold entry into the university and sharp remarks have sent a strong message to his father and brother, highlighting tensions within the Manchu family.
