Legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam is returning to the silver screen after a long time with his dream project PS-1. The movie is scheduled for release on September 30th. As the release date is fast approaching, the makers have intensified the promotions. All the star cast and the director are involved in various interviews, promotional events, etc.,
In one of the interviews, Mani Ratnam was asked if the lengthy run time of the movie could be a hindrance to the watching experience. Well, Mani Ratnam has an example to refer to. “If the run time is an issue, how come Vikram which has close to 3 hours run time has done well?” the filmmaker questioned.
It is an open fact that event films need a lengthy run time to explore the characters and the span of the project. In fact, films like RRR, KGF Chapter 2, and The Kashmir Files had lengthy run times but that was never an issue as the content is strong. PS-1 final cut is 2 hours and 50 minutes long.
