Mani Ratnam‘s dream project Ponniyin Selvan part 1 is all set for a big release on September 30th. A lot of stakes are involved in the making of this movie. It is easily the costliest movie made in Kollywood. There are a lot of expectations for the movie in Tamil but it is not the same in Telugu.
Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, Mani Ratnam, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Prakash Raj, and others are known faces in the Telugu States and they have their own markets here. However, the buzz is so low for PS-I in the Telugu States with no promotions whatsoever. Apart from a couple of press meets, the team hasn’t made any conscious effort to hype up the craze.
Telugu States’ business is crucial for PS-I to be successful. So, it’s high time that the makers focus on the Telugu market as well. PS makers should be aware of the fact that the Telugu market is so crucial for a Pan-Indian film.
