After COVID, India is witnessing an increase in aviation traffic. According to the latest study, the domestic passengers’ aviation traffic has crossed the 4 lakh mark for 2 days straight. This is the first time that the passengers mark crossed 4 lakh after May 2020. 4,05,963 passengers on Saturday and 4,09,831 passengers on Sunday traveled through 2,767 flights.

However, this is not the highest mark as during pre-COVID days the traffic count is well over the 4 lakh mark. According to the DGCA, domestic airlines carried around 1.14 crore passengers to their destinations this October in the country. For the same month, last year’s data reads 89.85 lakhs.

The report further highlighted the monthly growth of 26.95 percent of passengers who take flights in domestic routes.
