Tech layoffs are giving chills down the spine of IT employees. We have seen many tech giant companies like Twitter, Meta, Alphabet, and Amazon have announced mass layoffs and Cisco has joined the list now. The company has announced 5 percent of its workforce would be terminated as a part of the rebalancing act which impacts 4,000 employees. A media report quoted the company’s CEO terming these layoffs as rightsizing certain businesses. He didn’t deny nor accepted the reported layoffs.

It is probably the worst time for IT employees as the layoffs are catching up with all the companies and the hire freeze zone is already on. Apart from the above said companies even Disney and Cognizant have laid off their employees as well.
