New Delhi: The first Bharat Gaurav Train to Char Dham is scheduled to commence operations on May 8, offering a 16-day all-inclusive pilgrimage tour covering Haridwar, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

Announcing the initiative, Vishal Mishra, MD of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd, along with officials Virender Singh Rana and Ramesh Iyyengar, stated that this special senior citizen-friendly tour is being conducted in collaboration with Indian Railways. The train is equipped with CCTV cameras, entertainment systems, dedicated tour managers, janitors, housekeeping, and security personnel for each coach to ensure a comfortable and secure journey.

The special tourist train includes 1AC, 2AC, 3AC, and sleeper coaches, with an exclusive South Indian cuisine menu served both onboard and offboard. The LTC and LFC benefits are available for central and state government employees, with a 33% subsidy from the Ministry of Railways.
