Imran Khan: There was a conspiracy to torture in police custody

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has claimed on Thursday that the government wants to torture and kill him by keeping him in police custody. This statement of Imran Khan came a day after the Punjab Police tried to arrest him.

A new FIR has been registered against Tehreek-e-Insaf party chief and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan after the police failed to arrest him. For two days, the police had reached Imran Khan’s house in Lahore to arrest him in a corruption case, but due to the huge crowd of supporters at his house, they could not reach Imran Khan.

Police of Punjab province of Pakistan has registered another FIR against Imran Khan today. According to this new FIR, Imran Khan is accused of inciting people to attack the police. According to the FIR, when the police arrived to arrest Imran Khan in a corruption case, Imran instigated around 2,500 party workers present at Zaman Park to attack the police.

Police and Rangers fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse the supporters, but the angry mob threw stones and bricks at the police. About 60 people were injured in this incident.

Imran Khan said, “We had news that they want to arrest me so that they can torture me first and then kill me.”

For two days, the workers of Imran Khan’s party Tehreek-e-Insaf managed to stop the police and even after this struggle that lasted for hours, the police could not arrest Khan.

After this, the Lahore court stayed the arrest of Imran Khan till Friday. On Wednesday the police were called back from outside Imran Khan’s house .
