If they support us, it’s a good thing; If they don’t, nothing will change: India after US’s reaction

On America supporting India on the issue of Arunachal Pradesh, the Ministry of External Affairs has said that if someone supports us then it is a good thing. Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said, “An attempt has been made by China to change the names of some places in Arunachal Pradesh. India and China will have to find a solution for this.”

On American support, he said, “If someone supports us, it is a good thing. Nothing will change for us if they don’t support us.”

In fact, the US had said on Wednesday that it considers Arunachal Pradesh as an integral part of India and it is strongly against any unilateral attempt to enter the region by changing the names of some areas.

This reaction of America has come after China changed the names of 11 places in Arunachal Pradesh.

China describes Arunachal as the southern part of Tibet.

Earlier, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China has approved the renaming of 11 places in Arunachal Pradesh. India considers these areas as part of its northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, while China also claims them as its own.

China claims 90,000 square kilometers of land in Arunachal Pradesh, while India says that China has illegally occupied 38,000 square kilometers of Aksai Chin in the west.

India has rejected this effort of China outright. India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in a statement, “We have seen such reports. This is not the first time China has made such an attempt. We reject it outright. Arunachal Pradesh has always been a part of India.” It is a part of India and will always remain an integral part of India. Efforts to change the name will not change this fact.”
