The inevitable has happened. The intense search which continued for hours turned out to be unfruitful. The US Coast Guard has confirmed that the missing submersible encountered a massive explosion when on its mission to witness the wrecked Titanic ship which was on the seabed. In the official statement, US Coast Guard confirmed that a robotic diving vehicle located a debris field belonging to the Submersible which was identified as the significant fragments of Titan, the submersible.

However, unfortunately, there is no mention of the human remains and the chances are bleak that they will be found. Titan started its journey on Sunday with five members onboard but lost its communication within hours. OceanGate Expeditions, the organization where Titan belongs also confirmed that none of the passengers survived.

The five passengers onboard were Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate Expeditions, Shahzada Dawood, a Pakistani-British Billionaire, his son Suleman, Hamish Harding a British Billionaire, and also Paul-Henri Nargeolet, who explored the wrecked Titanic numerous times already.
