Starting from April 1, the UK has raised its visa fees, making travel to the country more expensive. The standard six-month UK Visitor Visa fee has increased from ₹12,190 to ₹13,462. Additionally, the fee for long-term visitor visas has risen to ₹45,792. Fees for five-year visas have gone up to ₹81,726, while ten-year visas now cost ₹1.02 lakh. The UK has also increased the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) fee from ₹1,060 to ₹1,696, restricting the service to certain countries. Many Indians travel to the UK for business, family visits, and leisure, and this fee hike is expected to impact such travels.
