United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murthy have lost 200 million pounds (Rs. 2,000 Crores) in the last one year. The massive decline in the income is due to the fall in shares of Infosys. It is known that Rishi Sunak is the son-in-law of Infosys founder Narayana Murthy. Akshata Murthy is his daughter.
The Sunday Times have released the rich list in the world and the UK PM and Akshata were ranked 222nd in the list. However, Infosys saw a steep decline of 20 percent with which their rank dropped to 227 this year.
Last year their stake which was worth GBP 690 million dropped to GBP 529 million, notably due to the couple’s shares in Infosys. Notably, Sunak is the richest ever occupant of 10 Downing Street. As England’s Prime Minister he was entitled to an annual salary of about 165,000 pounds.
