U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance will visit India next week as part of an official tour from April 18 to 27, covering both Italy and India. The visit was confirmed by the Vice President’s Office.
In India, the Vance family, including their children Ivan, Vivek, and Mirabel, will travel to New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur—Usha Vance’s ancestral hometown. During the visit, JD Vance is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss key economic and geopolitical issues.
This will be Usha Vance’s first visit to India. Her parents, Krish and Lakshmi Chilukuri, migrated to the U.S. in the late 1970s. The visit is seen as an important moment in strengthening U.S.-India ties.
