The proposed Trump Towers project in Hyderabad’s upscale Kokapet area has hit a legal roadblock. While plans were underway for Trump Realty to enter the Indian real estate market through a partnership with IRA Realty, a land ownership dispute has emerged, casting uncertainty over the project.
Nandela Ram Reddy, claiming to be one of the co-owners of the proposed 12,602-square-yard site, has issued a legal notice, stating that he was unaware of the Trump Towers plan despite holding a 425-square-yard share. His legal team has alleged that construction plans were made without informing all stakeholders. If the dispute remains unresolved, industry observers believe it could delay or derail the high-profile luxury project.
