Telangana’s property registration charges are set to rise with the introduction of the ‘Bhu Bharati’ portal, which will replace the existing Dharani system. Revenue Minister P Srinivasa Reddy confirmed that there will be no extension for the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) deadline.

The government is reviewing stamp duty and registration fees to align with market rates, and the new charges will be implemented once Bhu Bharati is fully operational. Additionally, the state plans to appoint surveyors and deputy surveyors for each mandal and engage 6,000 licensed surveyors.

On LRS, the minister announced that applicants who pay the fee before March 31 will receive a 25% discount, while late applicants will incur the full cost. Affected applicants from the previous government’s rejection of 13 lakh LRS applications can now appeal for reconsideration.
