Ruling Congress leaders in Telangana today expressed their gratitude to Governor Jishnu Dev Varma for forwarding the state’s legislation increasing reservations for backward classes to 42% for Presidential assent. The bill, which aims to enhance social justice and provide greater opportunities to marginalized communities, was passed by the Telangana Legislative Assembly earlier this year.
