Telangana Chief Minister K. Revanth Reddy’s government has made a major decision regarding betting apps in the state. From now on, all cases related to betting apps will be handled exclusively by the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The government issued official orders transferring all registered and future betting app cases in Hyderabad and Cyberabad to the CID. This move aims to allow CID to investigate these cases more thoroughly and prevent future illegal activities related to betting apps.

Previously, cases were filed against 11 betting app operators in Hyderabad and 25 celebrities promoting betting apps in Cyberabad. With this new decision, all such cases will now fall under the CID’s jurisdiction. The government hopes that this action will curb the illegal activities of betting apps and send a strong warning to their promoters and operators.
