Amid rising India-Pakistan tensions, TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu has requested Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to operate special trains for Telugu students studying in northern states like Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. In a letter, the MP highlighted that many students from the Telugu states are enrolled at institutions in Jalandhar, Jammu, Kurukshetra, and Chandigarh—including NITs and Lovely Professional University—and urged for special trains from these areas to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for their safe return.
