Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, joined by AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi and senior Congress leaders, led a candle march on Friday to protest the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives. In a strong message, Reddy called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take decisive action against Pakistan, including the merger of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) with India. Recalling Indira Gandhi’s bold leadership during the 1971 war, he urged the Centre to give a “befitting reply” and said all Indians stand united in the fight against terrorism.
The protest, held in Hyderabad, saw participation from former Union Minister Salman Khurshid, Telangana ministers, international delegates, and citizens across communities. Owaisi distributed black armbands at Shastripuram mosque and joined a protest at the historic Charminar. Peaceful rallies were also held in Begum Bazar and Malkajgiri, marking a unified condemnation of terrorism and support for national security.
