The long-awaited NRT (Non-Resident Telugu) project in Amaravati is finally back on track, thanks to the vision and determination of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. After a prolonged delay under the YSRCP government, which sidelined the project, CM Naidu’s return to power has reignited the flame of progress.
With an ambitious budget of Rs 600 crore, this iconic 36-storey twin tower complex, spanning five acres, is designed exclusively for the global Telugu community. The project, symbolizing the letter ‘A’ for Amaravati, will house both residential flats and office spaces, along with state-of-the-art facilities, including a migration resource center, conference halls, and a 2,000-seat auditorium.
CM Naidu’s foresight in initiating the project under his earlier tenure (2014-2019) laid the foundation for what promises to be a landmark development in Amaravati. However, the momentum was lost during the YSRCP rule, which left the NRT project on hold. Now, under CM Naidu’s leadership, the project is set to be completed by 2028, marking a major milestone for the Andhra diaspora.
The NRT project not only offers modern infrastructure but also creates around 30,000 jobs, driving economic growth and reinforcing Telugu pride. As the project moves forward, it’s clear that CM Naidu’s vision is paving the way for Amaravati’s transformation into a global hub, while the previous administration’s neglect of the project remains a point of contention.
