Nitish Kumar calls it quits as the Bihar Chief Minister. Today Nitish Kumar met governor Phagu Chauhan before 4 PM and submitted his resignation. Before this, Nitish Kumar met his party leaders and discussed the alliance with the BJP. After the meeting, the decision was taken to quit the alliance.
Nitish Kumar is expected to form the new government with the support of the entire opposition – RJD, Congress, Left parties, and a few others.
Nitish Kumar said to the opposition leader Tejaswi Yadav to forget what happened in 2017. “Let us forget what happened in 2017. Let us begin a new chapter,” Nitish Kumar allegedly said to RJD’s Tejaswi Yadav said the sources.
On the other hand, BJP’s Sanjay Jaiswal said that it is a betrayal from Nitish’s side. “Though we won more seats, we made Nitish Chief Minister. This is nothing but betrayal,” he said.
