During his US visit, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh met with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Managing Director Rachel Skaff to discuss the establishment of an AWS data center in Andhra Pradesh. Lokesh emphasized the benefits of cloud infrastructure for smart governance and encouraged AWS to support efficient citizen services in the state.
Nara Lokesh attended the IT Serve Synergy Summit in Las Vegas, engaging with prominent industry leaders to attract investments to Andhra Pradesh. He met with Relevance Lab CEO Ashwin Bharath, proposing a partnership to set up a tech talent development center in the state to enhance digital skills and innovation.

Nara Lokesh highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s favorable environment for business and investment to several corporate leaders, including former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, Relevance Lab CEO Ashwin Bharath, and Salesforce AI CEO Clara Shih.
Discussing the potential for AWS’s cloud services in Andhra Pradesh, Lokesh noted their crucial role in advancing the state’s smart governance initiatives. AWS’s focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s technology goals, he said, while Schaaf expressed interest in exploring opportunities to deliver AWS cloud services within the state. Lokesh’s discussions aim to attract critical technology investments, underscoring the state’s ambition to become a leading tech hub in India.
