Former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s greatness was recently praised by his son, Nara Lokesh, in an emotional speech. His remarks have now gone viral on social media. Lokesh spoke about his father’s political values and honesty highlighting his commitment to ethical leadership.
Recalling the advice his father gave him when he entered politics, Lokesh said that Chandrababu Naidu had told him, “A person holding a sword dies by the sword. I have never encouraged such politics. That is not my way of politics.” Lokesh highlighted that even at the age of 73, his father remains calm and has a clear conscience. He emphasized that Naidu has never troubled anyone or encouraged violent politics.
He also mentioned the strong public support Naidu received during his 53-day imprisonment, citing an incident where around 45,000 IT professionals in Hyderabad protested in solidarity despite a cricket match happening at the same time. This, he said, shows the deep respect and trust people have for Naidu.
Addressing the corruption allegations in the Skill Development case, Lokesh stated that his father was arrested over claims of ₹27 crore in corruption. However, he countered this by saying that if Naidu had truly wanted to amass wealth, he could have purchased thousands of acres of land in Hyderabad before developing the city, when land was available for just ₹50,000 per acre. But Naidu never pursued personal gain, proving his selflessness.
Lokesh expressed his admiration for his father’s resilience, saying that even after coming out of jail, Naidu did not lose hope. Instead, he continued working tirelessly, moving among the people with even more energy than before. Lokesh noted that Naidu is more active than even the younger generation.
He concluded by saying that Naidu has always prioritized values in his political career and that people recognize his honesty. Lokesh’s remarks have inspired new enthusiasm among TDP supporters.
