Contestants of Miss World 2025 – Group 2 will visit the famous handloom village of Pochampally on May 15, showcasing the globally renowned Pochampally Ikat weaving tradition. Located in Telangana’s Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Pochampally is celebrated for its intricate tie-and-dye process and has earned UNESCO recognition as the “Best Tourism Village of the World.”
The Miss World contestants will experience the making of the iconic Telia Rumal, interact with master weavers, and explore the rich cultural and historical significance of the village, which also played a key role in the Bhoodan movement. This event will highlight Pochampally’s unique craftsmanship and cultural heritage on a global stage.
