Minister Gottipati Ravikumar clarified that power tariffs will not be increased, slamming opposition leaders for spreading false information. He accused former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of misusing the power department during his tenure, citing a controversial agreement with Axis Energy at ₹5.12 per unit. Ravikumar emphasized that the current government renegotiated the deal to ₹4.60 per unit and is committed to providing quality electricity. He also highlighted the focus on renewable energy in Rayalaseema and Prakasam districts, warning that wrongdoers will face consequences under the ‘Red Book’.
