Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, who was recently summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a financial probe, has reportedly written to the agency requesting a change in the appearance date.
The ED had asked him to appear on April 28, 2025, regarding payments he received from Surana Group and Sai Surya Developers for promoting their real estate ventures. The actor is believed to have received ₹5.9 crore, including ₹2.5 crore in cash, which is now under investigation for possible links to a money laundering case.
In his letter, Mahesh Babu cited ongoing shooting commitments for his upcoming film SSMB29, directed by SS Rajamouli, as the reason for his request. The ED has not yet responded to his appeal.
