A recent inspection by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H) revealed significant issues in engineering colleges across Telangana, including unratified faculty members and non-functional or outdated laboratory software. The evaluation, conducted by fact-finding committees for the 2025-26 academic session, raised concerns about the quality of education in the state’s 175 engineering and 127 pharmacy colleges. In response, the Engineering Colleges Management Association acknowledged pending faculty ratifications due to mid-year hiring and assured that infrastructure gaps would be addressed before the next academic session.
