ISRO and NASA are set to launch the NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite in the first week of June. The 2,800 kg satellite will be launched aboard the GSLV F-16 rocket from SHAR. NISAR is a remote sensing satellite capable of mapping the Earth’s surface in just 12 days. It will provide valuable data on environmental changes, ice mass, sea level rise, earthquakes, and tsunamis. This collaboration marks a significant step in space exploration and Earth monitoring.
