Tensions within the IPL franchise Punjab Kings have escalated, with co-owner Preity Zinta filing a legal case in a Chandigarh court against fellow directors Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia. Zinta has challenged the validity of a shareholders’ meeting allegedly conducted in violation of company rules, stating her objections were ignored. She also opposed the appointment of Munish Khanna as a director.
In her petition, Zinta requested that no board meetings be held without her participation until the court delivers its verdict. Despite the internal disputes, Zinta has continued to support the team visibly at stadiums, encouraging players from the sidelines. Under Shreyas Iyer’s leadership, the team has shown impressive performance this season.
