In a major move to enhance user experience, India’s top telecom operators—Vodafone Idea Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd, and Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd—are teaming up with global tech companies like HP, Dell, Ericsson, and Nokia to introduce a new feature that will eliminate anonymous calls.
The upcoming Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) service will display the name of incoming callers directly on your phone, eliminating the need for third-party apps like Truecaller. Trials for this feature have already been conducted in select regions, and the service is expected to roll out in phases once the technology is fully stable. This advancement aims to improve security and convenience for telecom users across the country.
