During the four-day military conflict with Pakistan that began on the night of May 6, India effectively deployed advanced defence technologies powered by artificial intelligence (AI), space, and electronics expertise. Defence sources revealed that India struck multiple strategic targets across the border and neutralised incoming threats using AI-integrated air command and control systems, indigenous navigation tech, and precision-strike capabilities.
The AI-enabled systems provided real-time situational awareness, allowing the armed forces to detect, track, and respond to aerial threats with high accuracy. Developed over several years, these technologies include AI-based enemy aircraft recognition, automated intercept management, and cloud-based command systems. Backed by a Defence AI roadmap launched in 2018, India has completed over 70 defence-specific AI projects, reinforcing its strategic military advantage.
