Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple road projects worth ₹3,900 crore at Sirpur Kagajnagar in Telangana today. Reaffirming the Centre’s commitment to infrastructure development, Gadkari announced plans to undertake ₹2 lakh crore worth of highway projects in the state over the next 3-4 years, improving connectivity to Hyderabad from remote districts. He also proposed developing Amrit Sarovars along highways to support farmers. Major expressway projects, including the Indore-Hyderabad and Surat-Nasik-Kurnool-Hyderabad-Chennai-Tiruvananthapuram corridors, are set for completion by 2026. Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and B. Sanjay Kumar also highlighted the Centre’s significant infrastructure investments in Telangana, with ₹1.25 lakh crore already spent in the past decade. Gadkari is scheduled to launch more projects worth ₹1,600 crore in Hyderabad later in the day.
