He developed severe breathing problems, which led to his transfer to the Kankipadu Government Hospital. His wife, Pankajashree, along with local leader Perni Nani, arrived at the hospital to inquire about his condition from the medical staff. Given the gravity of his health situation, they demanded his transfer to AIIMS for better treatment.
Vamsi Mohan, who has been facing multiple charges, is currently in remand in connection with a case involving fake land pattas. Authorities have increased security around the hospital, setting up a police barricade to maintain order. As of now, his condition remains critical, and further medical intervention is being considered.
