Oil marketing companies have announced a Rs 41 price cut on 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders, effective from April 1. The new prices are Rs 1,762 in New Delhi, Rs 1,714.5 in Mumbai, Rs 1,872 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,924.50 in Chennai.
This reduction benefits businesses like restaurants and hotels, while domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged. The price adjustments are part of regular monthly revisions based on global market conditions.
In related news, the PM Ujjwala Yojana has seen a significant rise in LPG refills, with numbers doubling in the past five years.
