Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, during an official visit to Tokyo, met with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) senior officials to seek funding support for key infrastructure projects, including the ₹24,269 crore Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II, Musi River rejuvenation, and radial road connectivity. He highlighted Telangana’s investor-friendly policies and Hyderabad’s emergence as a global investment destination.
In his meeting with JICA Senior Vice-President Shohei Hara, the CM emphasized the state’s adherence to foreign debt funding norms and sought JICA’s support for a 48% loan component—around ₹11,693 crore—for the metro project. He also urged JICA to consider funding for the Musi and road development initiatives, expressing his vision to transform Hyderabad into a global city on par with New York and Tokyo.
