35 years after it first lit up theatres, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari (JVAS) is back to enchant audiences with a grand re-release tomorrow in both 2D and 3D formats. Starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and the legendary Sridevi, this 1990 socio-fantasy classic directed by K. Raghavendra Rao is being brought back by Vyjayanthi Movies to celebrate its cinematic legacy.

Originally made on a ₹2 crore budget and grossing ₹15 crore, JVAS was a cultural phenomenon, with tickets once resold for ₹200 when the original price was just ₹5. As excitement peaks, massive cutouts of Chiranjeevi from the film have been installed at Devi 70MM and Sudarshan theatres in Hyderabad, drawing huge crowds of fans. A special premiere show is also scheduled tonight in the city. With Ilaiyaraaja’s enchanting music and Amrish Puri’s iconic villainy, JVAS is all set to recapture hearts—this time in dazzling 3D.
