AMARAVATI: In the 2019 elections, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was reduced to a mere 23 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, facing constant challenges from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), which held 151 seats. TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu endured personal attacks and disrespect from YSRCP members, including Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. Frustrated by the ruling party’s conduct, Chandrababu Naidu boycotted the Assembly, vowing to return only as Chief Minister.

Not only did he defeat his political adversaries in the recent elections, but he also ensured that the opposition was left without any significant status.
