New Jersey: The Sai Datta Peetham Sri Shiva Vishnu Temple on Oak Tree Road, Edison, New Jersey, recently hosted a grand Chandi Yagam, drawing hundreds of participants from the Indian-American community.
Edison is known for its large Indian population, and the temple regularly celebrates traditional Telugu festivals and rituals, keeping Indian culture alive in the US.

The Chandi Yagam, a sacred ritual from the Markandeya Purana, involved the chanting of the Durga Saptashati and other powerful mantras. Attendees offered various prasadam and participated in the devotional atmosphere. The yagam is believed to bring prosperity, health, and success while removing obstacles.

The Chandi Yagam event highlighted the deep connection Indian expatriates maintain with their roots, even while living abroad. The Sri Shiva Vishnu Temple became a center for spiritual and cultural expression, with the Chandi Yagam serving as a reminder of the significance of traditional rituals in promoting peace and well-being.
