In a disturbing act of vandalism, the Shree Lakshmi Narayana Mandir in Surrey, Canada, was defaced with pro-Khalistan graffiti in the early hours of April 19. The temple reported that two unidentified individuals targeted the entrance sign and pillars, scrawling the word “Khalistan” and stealing the security camera during the act.

Temple authorities have filed an FIR with Surrey Police and condemned the incident as a hate crime and an attack on a sacred space. They urged government leaders and the public to speak out against such acts, emphasizing that attacks on places of worship have no place in a diverse and respectful society.
