In the wake of India’s Operation Sindoor following the terror attack on Pahalgam, Bollywood filmmakers and studios are quickly registering the title. Around 15 filmmakers have already submitted applications to the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) to secure the name, with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) confirming the trend. Industry insiders suggest that nationalistic and war-themed films have become a popular genre, especially after the success of films like Uri and War.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed his application for the title, noting that while it’s uncertain if a film will be made on the topic, registering the title is an essential step in any filmmaking process. With national events often inspiring cinematic projects, many in Bollywood are keen to capitalize on the growing interest in such themes.
