At the age of 92, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy continues to lead with vision and energy, having built a 70,000 crore healthcare empire of Apollo Hospitals. A pioneer of modern healthcare in India, Dr. Reddy returned from the U.S. to fulfill his father’s dream of serving the nation.

Moved by the death of a patient in 1979 due to lack of proper care, he founded Apollo Hospitals with the goal of bringing world-class medical services to India.

Today, Apollo spans 71 hospitals, 5,000 pharmacies, and 291 clinics across the country. For Dr. Reddy, service and not wealth has always been the true reward, inspiring generations in the field of healthcare.
