All the hopes of India along with Afghanistan got washed away with yesterday’s match. Pakistan versus Afghanistan proved to be a nail-biting thriller. However, Naseem Shah’s double blow with two sixes in the last over sealed the deal for Pakistan.

Batting first Afghanistan scored a mediocre 129 as no batsman tried to score consistently. Hazratullah Zazai and Gurbaz gave Afghanistan a good start. However, Haris Rauf and Hasnain brought Pakistan into the contest. The spinners were brilliant as always. Every bowler chipped in with wickets.

Chasing a modest total, Pakistan pegged back at the start as Babar Azam fell again for a low score. Afghanistan spinner along with the left-arm pacer Farooqi was brilliant at the start. Shadab Khan in the middle and Asif Ali towards the end has scored some runs for the team. However, they lost wickets at regular intervals. With 10 needed in the last over and a wicket to spare, Naseem Shah scored two back-to-back sixes and placed Pakistan in the finals along with Sri Lanka.
