Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh announced that the State is drafting a comprehensive film policy to strengthen the Telugu film industry. Aimed at building modern infrastructure like studios and dubbing theatres, the policy seeks to position Visakhapatnam as a major cinematic hub. Under CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s leadership, the government will also revive the prestigious Nandi Awards, sidelined post-bifurcation. Consultations with film industry stakeholders are set to begin soon.
