The investigation into Tollywood celebrities’ involvement in promoting betting apps is intensifying. As part of the ongoing probe, anchor Shyamala appeared before the Panjagutta police today and provided her statement during a three-and-a-half-hour-long inquiry.
Speaking to the media after the questioning, Shyamala apologized for any unintended promotion of betting apps and expressed her regret over the issue. She clarified that she never intended to mislead people and assured her full cooperation with the authorities. “I have complete faith in the legal system and will support the investigation in every possible way,” she stated.
Earlier, Shyamala had approached the High Court to quash the FIR registered against her. While the court directed the police not to arrest her, it instructed her to cooperate with the investigation. Meanwhile, police have also questioned Vishnupriya and Ritu Choudhary and are expected to summon them again for further inquiry. The probe continues, with more celebrities likely to be investigated.
