Starting from the next academic year, the CBSE has made 75% attendance mandatory for students appearing for the Class 12 exams. This decision was taken after noticing that many students were enrolling in fake schools for engineering and medical courses. During inspections, students found absent from school will not be allowed to appear for the exams. CBSE has advised such students to take exams through open schools.
