Tirumala: Tirumala’s grand Brahmotsavam began on October 3 with a traditional ‘Ankurarpana’ ceremony. The TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) officially launched the annual event for Lord Venkateswara, also known as Srinivasa.
The Brahmotsavam started between 7 pm and 8 pm with the seed-sowing ritual, and the full-fledged celebrations will commence on October 4 with the ‘Dwajarohanam’ ceremony.

From October 5 until October 12, special Vahana Sevas (processions of the deity on various vehicles) will be conducted both in the morning and evening. The temple has been beautifully decorated with lights and flowers to mark the occasion.
The highlights include floral decorations like Ayodhya’s Ram temple, a sand sculpture of Lord Rama, and a set design of Sita’s swayamvar.
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, and his wife Bhuvaneshwari are expected to visit Tirumala on October 4 evening to offer silk robes to Lord Venkateswara.
