Prayagraj: Devotees in large numbers have gathered at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj to take a holy dip on the occasion of Magh Purnima. Officials estimate that 3 to 4 crore pilgrims are expected to participate in the ritual throughout the day.
To manage the massive crowds, Kumbh Mela authorities have temporarily restricted vehicle movement in and around Prayagraj. Special crowd management strategies have been implemented to ensure a smooth and safe experience for devotees.
Magh Purnima is considered highly auspicious, marking the culmination of the Magh month in the Hindu calendar. Devotees believe that taking a holy dip in the Ganges on this day washes away sins and brings spiritual blessings.
With chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” echoing through the ghats, the city of Prayagraj is witnessing one of the largest religious gatherings of the year. Authorities have deployed additional security personnel and medical teams to handle the surge in pilgrims.
