Prayagraj: As the grand Maha Kumbh Mela nears its conclusion in 16 days, an overwhelming influx of devotees from across India and abroad has led to an unprecedented traffic jam near Prayagraj. Reports from national media indicate that vehicles are stuck in a massive 300-kilometer-long traffic gridlock on routes leading to the holy site.

With thousands of pilgrims stranded on the roads, struggling with hunger and exhaustion, the situation has drawn sharp criticism. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav lashed out at the Uttar Pradesh government, holding it responsible for the mismanagement. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister has advised devotees to postpone their journey to Prayagraj by at least two days to avoid getting caught in the congestion.

Authorities are working on easing the traffic flow, but the sheer volume of vehicles has made it a challenging task. The Maha Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest spiritual gathering, continues to draw millions, further straining the already overwhelmed transport infrastructure.
