New Delhi: Parvesh Verma has emerged as the man who defeated AAP convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, making him a key political figure in the national capital. With speculations that he might be the next Chief Minister of Delhi, Verma’s name is now a hot topic across the country.

A Political Legacy
Parvesh Verma is the son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma, who served from February 1996 to October 1998. Coming from a Jat family, he holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and began his political career in 2013. He won from the Mehrauli Assembly constituency as a BJP candidate and later secured a massive victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from West Delhi with a record margin of over 2.68 lakh votes. He continued his winning streak in the 2019 and 2024 elections.
Unbeaten Record in Politics
Verma has never faced defeat in his political journey. His latest victory in New Delhi against Kejriwal reinforces his strong electoral presence. With BJP winning key constituencies, Verma is now seen as the frontrunner for the Chief Minister’s post in Delhi. His political rise signals a major shift in the capital’s leadership.
