Visakhapatnam: A violent clash broke out between senior and junior students of Vignan Engineering College, Duvvada, Visakhapatnam, on February 15, 2025. The fight, which began as a minor scuffle during a dance event, quickly escalated into a brutal confrontation involving dangerous weapons.
According to reports, the altercation started when a senior student got angry after a junior student danced nearby while he was dancing with a girl. Despite the junior’s apology, the senior allegedly attacked him. Soon, other students joined in, leading to a massive fight between both groups.
The situation worsened when students took the fight outside, using sticks to attack each other. A junior student suffered a severe head injury and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Several others were also injured.
Following the incident, students from both groups filed mutual complaints at the Duvvada police station, each blaming the other for the fight. Police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.
